The Textile Eye: Interview with Melanie Cosby
We’re starting 2023 off with sharing my interview with The Textile Eye. Being featured alongside these worldwide industry leaders and textile artisans is amazing and surreal. Sometimes I have to pinch myself that I get to work in this industry. Being surrounded by creatives all day, and designing products for the best designers in the world, is an indescribable feeling.
The industry can get overwhelming at times, however. So, when someone shows interest in what you do, it gives you a sense of accomplishment of all the behind-the-scenes hard work that is involved on the daily. When small talk conversations at dinner parties go to “So, what do you do for living?” the answer is always a very long explanation with photos and a website check because most people do not know what a narrow fabrics/trimming manufacture does. Thank you Saana for showcasing so beautifully what our industry is about and how the most luxurious of trims are made. Most of all, thank you for including Fringe Market in your trend report.
